One of those things is, I need to be on a better cleaning schedule. But I'm always tired by the time the kids are down so I never want to clean. I'm up by 6:00a.m. and try to head out by 7:00a.m. but that rarely happens because the boys wake up before than. So Jeremy and I take turns tending to their needs, while the other is getting ready.
I work all morning and rush home to try to be home at noon so my sisters, who have been so gracious to watch the boys, can go to school or have life. Rushing home also allows me to be able to spend some time with the boys before they go down for their naps. Jackson has been napping for only 30 minutes a day so I get nothing done. During my 30 minutes I clean my glass table (it drives me crazy to see it a mess), empty the dishwasher, load the dishwasher, eat lunch than waaaaahhhhhh. He really doesn't want to wake up, he wants me to hold him so he can sleep on me. So I hold him and try to put him down again but it doesn't work too well. Once they are up, we try to get out of the house to do something fun or run errands. Then dinner needs to be made, dishes need to be clean again and by the end of the night I don't want to clean my house! So this is my excuse for a dirty house.
During my free time I would much rather mess around on Facebook, sew, snuggle with my HOT husband and now blog. :) So my recent projects have been doing things for me so I can stay sane and be a happy wife and a happy mom for my family. I have also been trying to make my house a home and reorganizing it. Our kitchen counters are always cluttered, especially with mail, coupons, magazines, the kids' toys, the list goes on. So today, I bought some cute baskets for each of us at Target (love that store) and went to Ross to see what else I could find. Success!!! I think it looks pretty cute. Not exactly what I would like on our counter but it'll keep us somewhat more organized.
I also hate it when I see our shoes everywhere, especially at the front door. There's a man in my house, I won't say his name, who likes to have a couple pairs of shoes by the front door. It's easier for him to pick out the one that matches his outfit and slip it on and head out the door. What's that you say? Oh, no he doesn't know this could be a hazard to his family! We could easily trip over his size 10 shoes and bonk our heads then end up in the ER. So while I was at Target, I found a killer deal on this basket in the picture. I brought this man to the basket and showed him that this is a good place for his shoes. I also told him that once we have our LifeGroup from our church started, we could have some of the people who attend put their shoes in there. He thought it was a good idea. :) But I totally understand if you have some kickin' hot shoes and you don't want them scratched....when you're over you don't have to put them in there.
